The Planner will be work with the Leader and Manager on job write-ups, reports, schedules and communication with Program Management and production. Candidate should demonstrate the capacity to make continual changes to aid in lead-time reduction, cost reduction and impeccable accuracy. A candidate for this position needs to have teachable spirit. Essential Functions: • Support Leader and Manager • Support internal customers, peers and others. • Write job tickets for all aspects of production. • Provide input to team in order to get to a better level of scheduling for internal/external/global processes. Help reduce the time it takes to produce the daily production schedules for the company. Have the daily schedules available for the production departments at the start of their shifts. Improve the accuracy of the schedules. The schedules should be organized in a way that will provide the best efficiency for each production department. • Work on continual improvements in Planning and cross-functional teams. Help the department have a good balance of continual improvements • Initiate Process Improvement Requests (PIR) • Research jobs that do not hit delivery and/or lead-time goals. • Help keep documentation current • Help team lower FMEA scores • Help improve On-Time Delivery while meeting or exceeding customer expectations for quality • Initiate internal prep jobs by dropping files into an automated process.
